About U2:
U2 is a rock band formed in Dublin, Ireland on 25 September 1976. the band members are Bono who is vocalist and guitarist, The Edge who plays guitar, keyboards and is vocalist, Adam Clayton who plays guitar and Larry Mullen who plays drums and percussion.
Later on, the band settled on the name “Feedback”, they reason was that this was one of the few technical terms they knew. Martin left the band after first practice, and McCormick also left the band within weeks. Most of the group’s material initially consisted of cover versions, which the band said was not their forte.
They change the name of the group to “The Hype” in the year 1977. While performing farewell concert in the Presbyterian Church Hall in Howth, Dik nobly went offstage. The other four band members completed the concert with the original stuff “U2”. The U2 were singed by Island Records in March 1980 and “11 O’Clock Tick Tock” turned into their first international released single in the very month.
U2 History:
The band formed in Dublin on 25 September 1976. Larry Mullen, Jr., then 14 years old, posted a notice on his secondary school Mount Temple Comprehensive School notice board in search of musicians for a new band. Seven teenage boys attended the initial practice in Mullen’s kitchen. It was, as Mullen put it, “‘The Larry Mullen Band’ for about ten minutes, then Bono walked in and blew any chance I had of being in charge.”
Last Year of U2:
In December 2008, the band finished No Line on the Horizon and they released it on 27 February 2009. U2 have begun a worldwide stadium tour entitled the U2 360° Tour to support No Line on the Horizon. The tour began on 30 June 2009 at Camp Nou in Barcelona, Spain and will feature European and North American legs in 2009, each approximately 6 weeks long, with additional shows to follow in 2010. The tour features a 360-degree staging/audience configuration, in which the fans will surround the stage from all sides.

The ‘U2 Remix Album’ is the musical gift heading the way of all new and re-subscribers later in the year.
We don’t know much about it yet, only that it will ‘feature remixes spanning U2’s catalogue and also some surprises’. And be ‘in the tradition of U2’s legendary fan compilation ‘Melon’ which was given exclusively to subscribers of the band’s magazine Propaganda.’
Bacadorina:
I currently have 15 or so remixes/dance, what ever selections are made, please make sure that are really well done (oakenfold and/or tiesto?) and that they haven’t been publicly released already – some ‘b’ side remixes would be nice.
